Dr. Betty Spencer is a Native Virginian, she received a B.A. in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan University, a M.A. in Early Childhood and Special Education from Hampton University and her Ph.D. from George Mason University in Education Administration and Distance Learning. She is a retired School Administrator who returned to teaching due to a shortage of teachers in the Special Education field. 

She has served her community as the Chairwoman for United Way of Arlington County Virginia, as a Board Member for the Arlington Community Service Board and as the Treasurer for the Pinewood Hills Homeowners Association.  She is currently serving as  a Board of Director for the Spence Crossing Homeowners Association and the Halstead Condominium Association in the capacity of Secretary. Dr. Spencer has also served her community as a Girl Scout Leader and as Superintendent of the Sunday School at her Church.  Serving others comes naturally for Dr. Spencer.

She  is so excited to be turning that community focus toward real estate.  With a passion for service Dr. Spencer is ready to help with your home buying, selling needs and management of your rental property. Dr. Spencer became a licensed Realtor in 2021 after many years of assisting her family members and friends with the search and purchase of their homes.  Dr. Spencer explores neighborhoods, communities and the surrounding commercial establishments at her leisure in order to learn the layout of the communities, the location of schools, recreation centers and places of worship and to identify commercial and retail establishments that serve that community.  During her exploration of communities, she observes whether the community is pedestrian friendly, where parks are located, parking and how well the homes and community have aged. Through this natural curiosity for communities and neighborhoods, she

will help you find the perfect neighborhood for you and your family. 

When Dr. Spencer isn’t making homeownership dreams come true for her clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her two fur babies, hiking,  boating and fishing. Dr. Spencer lives in Virginia Beach with her family.
